Frequently Asked Questions

How much can my traffic challan actually be reduced?

It depends on the specific challan and whether it qualifies for Lok Adalat compounding, which periodically settles pending traffic fines at a reduced amount during official drives. We review your challan first and give you an honest number — we do not promise a fixed percentage for every case, because eligibility varies by offence type and how the challan was issued.

Do I need to visit court myself?

In most Lok Adalat and Virtual Court matters, our office handles filing, coordination, and appearance on your behalf, so you don't need to be physically present for every step. Some matters may still require your presence or signature at specific stages — we'll tell you upfront if that applies to your case.

Is this an official government scheme?

No. This is a legal service offered by Advocate Debarchana Samal's law office. We use official mechanisms — Lok Adalat compounding, Virtual Court, and formal disputes for wrongly issued challans — to resolve your matter. We are not affiliated with the Odisha Transport Department or Parivahan.

What if my challan was wrongly issued?

If your challan involves the wrong vehicle, a vehicle you've already sold, a duplicate entry, or an incorrect violation code, we can help you formally dispute it with the Transport Department and, if required, contest it in court — this is separate from a Lok Adalat settlement.

Which vehicle types do you handle?

We handle challans for two-wheelers, cars, buses, trucks, and other commercial vehicles registered in Odisha.
